Inaugural Pedalfest 2007
Watch Video from PEDALFEST 2007.The inaugural PEDALFEST 2007 series was not only a great way to get your heart pumping but it also generated much needed exposure and fundraising for cancer support groups. Union Bank of California, AEG, and The Amgen Tour of California teamed up to create this unique stationary bike event! With the help of professional cyclists such as David Zabriskie, Team CSC (The number #1 ranked team in the world), Brent Bookwalter, US National Cycling Team and Bobby Lea, Toyota United Pro Cycling Team, participants pledged $5 and received an “Official PedalFest 2007 T-Shirt” and for each mile ridden Union Bank of California, AEG, and The Amgen Tour of California each matched every mile with a $1 donation.
All proceeds benefited Amgen’s Breakaway from Cancer initiative which in turn supports two great non-profit cancer support groups in The Wellness Community and The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship. Representative from all organizations were on-site at each of the three (3) Union Bank of California branch locations and interacted with professional cyclists, bank customers and members of the community to help educate them on the great services they provide and of course cheer them on as they pedaled to raise money!
