2007 AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA OFFERS FANS SPECIAL VIP OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INSIDE THE RACE ACTION

Access Never Before Available at a World-Class Sporting Event Will Provide Fans an 'Experience of a Lifetime'

LOS ANGELES, February 14, 2007 – Professional cycling enthusiasts and sports fans alike will have the opportunity to experience the 2007 Amgen Tour of California professional cycling road race as if they are one of the participants. Beginning this Sunday, several custom designed VIP packages that will be made available for the first time ever will give fans unique opportunities to get an insider's view of the action, interact with the best cyclists in the world and access exclusive VIP events, as well as the chance to experience the race from the inside out!

Whether looking for a special gift for a cycling enthusiast, or to learn more about the inner workings of the cycling world, special experiences with the premier U.S. cycling stage race include:

  • Team Dinner – This is a unique opportunity to spend an evening dining with some of the top athletes in the world. Buyer and guest will get to attend one of the team dinners at the end of a race day, seated at a VIP table. They also will receive Amgen Tour of California sweatshirts
  • Cyclist Meet & Greet – The package includes access to a VIP area before each day of racing begins, where riders will meet guests and sign autographs, as well as an Amgen Tour of California yellow winner's jersey to have signed, or to keep for the memory
  • Ride Along – As close to the action anyone can get without actually riding for one of the teams, this includes a seat with the race crew in the Broom Wagon, the neutral support team car that travels behind the riders, followed by the team dinner
  • Sausalito Package – Head to beautiful Sausalito to experience the Sausalito team presentation and gala Friday night, the Tour de Cuisine on Sunday, and the start of the race. After the festivities, a caravan will provide transport to Santa Rosa for hospitality at the finish line
