Voigt is known for his propensity to attack whenever he can, and also for his positive racing attitude. A favorite personality in the professional peloton, Jens Voigt has competed in and won stages in several major ProTour races including the Tour de France, Paris-Nice, the Criterium International, Dauphine Libere and the Tour of Poland. He has worn the yellow jersey in the Tour de France and won the Tour of Germany, Criterium International and Tour Mediterranean. In addition to his wins, Voigt is a dedicated domestique and helped Jan Ullrich in his 2000 Olympic win for the German team and Ivan Basso in the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia. He has been the elected riders' representative to the UCI ProTour council for the Cyclistes Professionales Associes.
