Doug played key role in the National Race Calendar (NRC) team championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He scored his most prominent career victory with an epic solo ride in the final stage of the 2005 Sea Otter Classic. In 2006 he was sidelined by fractured hip sustained in a race in France.
